Serving Couples Across Southwest Florida

Rev. Maria Felipe brings 8+ years of officiating experience to ceremonies across Naples, Marco Island, Fort Myers, and the surrounding Gulf Coast communities. Bilingual (English/Spanish), non-denominational, and licensed throughout the state of Florida.

Since 2019, Naples Wedding Woman has been a trusted choice for couples getting married throughout Southwest Florida. Whether you are planning an intimate beach elopement, a destination wedding, or a full ceremony with family, Rev. Maria travels across the region to officiate. Below is each city she serves with a look at what makes each one a beautiful place to say “I do.”

Naples, FL Home base

Naples is where Naples Wedding Woman is based, and it is the city Rev. Maria knows best. From the white-sand beaches at Lowdermilk Park and Vanderbilt Beach to the boutique resorts along 5th Avenue South and the gardens at Naples Botanical, the city offers ceremony settings for every style of wedding. Most of Rev. Maria’s ceremonies happen within 20 miles of downtown Naples, which means same-day rehearsal coordination is straightforward and travel logistics stay simple for guests flying into RSW.

If you are planning a Naples ceremony, the year-round warm climate, established wedding vendor network, and walkable beach access make it one of the easiest destinations on the Gulf Coast to plan from out of state. Rev. Maria handles the marriage license filing in Collier County and meets couples for a pre-ceremony consultation either in person or over video.

Marco Island, FL

Marco Island is one of Rev. Maria’s favorite places to officiate. The barrier island sits about 30 minutes south of downtown Naples and offers some of the most photogenic beach-wedding settings in Florida, including South Beach, Tigertail Beach, and the resort properties along Collier Boulevard. The JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort and Hilton Marco Island are among the most popular venue choices for couples who want a full destination-wedding experience.

For couples planning a Marco Island ceremony, sunset is generally the best time of day for both photo light and guest comfort, and the late-March through May window tends to balance the best weather with the lowest hurricane risk. Marco Island ceremonies require the same Florida marriage license as Naples ceremonies, and the closest courthouse for license pickup is in East Naples. Rev. Maria handles all the legal paperwork after the ceremony so you do not have to.

Bonita Springs, FL

Rev. Maria lived in Bonita Springs for two years after relocating to Florida, which means she knows the venue scene firsthand. The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa anchors the major resort weddings, but Bonita Springs also offers smaller-scale options like the beach itself, the Bonita Bay Club, and a number of private estates that host intimate ceremonies.

What makes Bonita Springs distinctive: the beaches at Bonita Beach and Barefoot Beach feature the same super-white sand as Naples without the same crowds, and the town itself stays walkable and manageable. For couples balancing budget against location, choosing a slightly-inland hotel and bringing the ceremony to the beach is a common pattern Rev. Maria has officiated many times. The best months for a Bonita Springs outdoor wedding run October through May, when temperatures stay comfortable and afternoon storms are rare.

Estero, FL

Estero sits between Naples and Fort Myers, offering a quieter alternative for couples who want green-space ceremonies rather than beach settings. Koreshan State Park and Estero Bay Preserve State Park both host weddings under live oak canopies and along the Estero River. The area is also home to several private wedding venues that double as photography backdrops, plus the Coconut Point shopping and dining district for rehearsal dinners and welcome events.

For couples splitting time between Naples and Fort Myers airports, Estero is the natural geographic midpoint, which makes it convenient for guests arriving from multiple directions. Marriage licenses for Estero ceremonies are issued from Lee County (not Collier County like Naples and Marco Island), so the paperwork flow is slightly different. Rev. Maria handles both county filings.

Fort Myers, FL

Fort Myers offers white-sand beaches, the historic downtown river district, and a wedding scene that ranges from Sanibel Island beach ceremonies to riverfront weddings along the Caloosahatchee. The climate stays warm year-round, and most ceremony venues are within 30 minutes of Naples. Rev. Maria officiates Fort Myers weddings every month of the year.

Cape Coral, FL

Cape Coral is known as the Waterfront Wonderland — over 400 miles of navigable canals, plus access to the Gulf for boat-arrival ceremonies. The city offers everything from elopement-friendly waterfront chapels to large resort weddings at venues like the Westin Cape Coral Resort. The year-round tropical climate and abundance of unique venues make it one of the most photogenic wedding destinations in Southwest Florida.
